Inter-University Course Selection

NTNU Intercollegiate Course Selection Instructions for the Spring Semester 2025

*Students of the NTU System who plan to take courses at NTU, NTNU, or NTUST should register through their
  home university’s Course Selection System. For more details, please refer to the “Intercollegiate Course
  Selection (NTU System)
” section.
*Part of general education courses at NTNU and Taipei Medical University (TMU) are available for students of both
  universities to take, and undergraduate students are exempted from the credit fees. Students who plan to take
  TMU general education courses shall register for the courses via NTNU Course Selection System and submit the
  printed application form to the Curriculum Office. The rest of courses are applied in accordant with the NTNU
  Intercollegiate Course Selection Implementation Guidelines. TMU students who plan to take general education
  courses at NTNU shall apply to TMU according to its regulations and procedures.

【NTNU Students】
1. Application Period: From February 10, 2025 to March 3, 2025 (the application must be completed before the
    deadline of both institutions)
.
2. Application Procedures:
Step 1. Guidelines for Intercollegiate Course Selection for NTNU Students
1. The courses you plan to take are limited to those do not offer at NTNU in current semester.
2. The number of your total intercollegiate course credits shall not exceed one-third of the minimum required
    credits for graduation of your department
.

Step 2. Fill out the Form
1. Login to NTNU portal/Academic Affairs Related system/Academic System for Students/Course
    Selection/Application for Intercollegiate Course Selection (
Operation Manual).
2. Fill out the application form of the institution you plan to take the courses and print it out (if the institution
    does not request for it, please skip this step).
 
Step 3. Approval of NTNU
1. Please print out the application form of both institutions to NTNU (if the other institution does not request for
    it, only NTNU application form is required).
2. Approval Process:
DepartmentCurriculum Office (Located on the 3rd floor of Administration Building, Main
    Campus I).
Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. ~ 17:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday
 
Step 4. Approval of the Institution Offers the Courses
Please follow the application procedures of the institution and complete the application and payment before its deadline.
 
Step 5. Submit Your Application Form to NTNU Curriculum Office
Submit the completed application form and the syllabus to NTNU Curriculum Office before 17:00 p.m. on March 3, 2025. Please note that late applications will not be processed.
Please take and save a picture of your application form. In addition, be sure to make a photocopy of your form if your department and the institution request for it.

【Non-NTNU Students】
1. Application Period: From February 10, 2025 to March 3, 2025 (the application must be completed before the
    deadline of both institutions)

2. Application Procedures:
Step 1. Guidelines for Intercollegiate Course Selection for Non-NTNU Students
Besides Teacher Education Program and EMBA courses, any other courses that have been approved by their instructors and departments are open to Non-NTNU students to apply.
To contact course instructors, you can go to
the department website or use Google Search to look for the contact information of instructors.

Step 2. Fill out the Form
1. Go to the Intercollegiate Course Selection Application System (Operation Manual) and register for the
    courses. Please print out the application form after you complete the registration. 
2. Fill out the application form of your home institution and print it out (if your home institution does not request
    for it, please skip this step).

Step 3. Approval of Home Institution
Please print out the application forms of both institutions and obtain approval from your home institution first (if your home institution does not request for it, only NTNU application form is required).
 
Step 4. Approval of NTNU

After having approvals of both institutions, please take and save a picture of your application form.

Step 5. Payment of Fees
Please complete your payment in the Intercollegiate Course Selection Application System for Non-NTNU Students before March 3, 2025.
1. After paying your fees, NTNU will send an email to you and prove that you have completed the NTNU
    application process. Please print out the email and submit it with your application form at your home
    institution, the NTNU Cashier Office will no longer stamp on your application documents to prove your
    payment.
2. Fee Standards: NT$1390 per credit hour for undergraduate courses; NT$1470 per credit hour for all graduate
    courses. The fees of in-service master's program courses are charged according to
the credit fee standards of
    each program
.
3. After paying the fees, students cannot drop the courses and ask for the refund unless the courses are
    cancelled due to an insufficient number of students.
 
Step 6. Submit the Application Form to Your Home Institution
Please submit the application form and the approval email sent by NTNU to your home institution and complete your intercollegiate course selection application at your school before the deadline.

3. NTNU will send your username to your email box for logging in to NTNU Moodle system. If you do not receive
    the email, you can acquire your username under the “NTNU Student ID Number” section of the Intercollegiate
    Course Selection Application System for Non-NTNU Students
. Your default password is your birth year and date
    in six digits: YYMMDD (please use the ROC calendar for your birth year here).
4. Course Withdrawal Application Period: From March 31, 2025 to May 9, 2025 (before 17:00 p.m.). Please start your
    application via the Intercollegiate Course Selection Application System for Non-NTNU Students (Operation
    Manual
). Please note that there will be no refund for withdrawing courses.

6. Grade reports will send to the academic affairs office at your home institution after the deadline of grade
    submission this semester (Grade Submission Schedule). If you have further questions about your grades, please
