Topic 1 : Logic and Computing domain course

  • What do the General Education courses in the Logic and Computing domain mainly cover?

The courses include logical thinking, critical thinking, programming, as well as basic computing and information applications. There are also interdisciplinary courses that integrate diverse topics such as biomedical technology, digital music, and educational applications.

  • Are the courses difficult? Do I need any prerequisites?

Foundational courses are introductory and do not require prior programming experience. For courses in information technology and interdisciplinary applications, having a programming background—or having taken NTNU’s Computational Thinking and Programming course—is recommended.

  • How can students without prior programming experience pursue an information technology–related credit program?

We recommend starting with Logic and Computing domain courses as a foundation for cross-disciplinary study. Some of these general education courses are included in five IT-related credit programs. Students can choose topics based on their interests and complete the required credits step by step. • How can I take AI-related courses?

Start with our general education course Practical Applications of Generative AI. As a member of TAICA (Taiwan Intercollegiate Alliance for AI Programs), our university also enables you to take AI courses offered by partner universities.
