No Registration Stamp Required on Student ID Cards
Starting from Fall Semester, 2017, National Taiwan Normal University has discontinued the use of registration stamps on Student ID cards. The related measures are explained below:
I. For Students Admitted Before Fall Semester, 2017
Students admitted before Fall Semester, 2017 may obtain a“No Registration Stamp Required”sticker from:the Registration Division, Office of Academic Affairs (Heping Campus),
the Gongguan Academic Affairs Office, or
their respective department/institute offices.
Students may affix the sticker to the back of their Student ID card.
For new students, the reverse side of the Student ID card is no longer printed with a registration stamp section.
II. Proof of Enrollment
Students who require proof of enrollment may apply approximately three (3) working days after payment of the registration fee for the current semester using any of the following methods:- Present a photocopy of the Student ID card at:
the Academic Affairs Office Service Counter (1st Floor, Heping Campus), or
the Gongguan Academic Affairs Office
for official endorsement. (Free of charge) - Log in to NTNU Information Portal →Applications → Academic Affairs Information system →Student Information → download and print the Certificate of Enrollment. (Free of charge)
- Display the Certificate of Enrollment via the NTNU App. (Free of charge)
- Apply for a paper Certificate of Enrollment at:
a Campus E-card Kiosk, or
the Academic Affairs Office Service Counter (Heping Campus I) / Gongguan Academic Affairs Office.
Certificates are issued on the spot. (Fee: NTD 10 per copy)
III. Student Discounts and Benefits Remain Unaffected
- The University officially notified the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation in April 106. In August 106, the Corporation updated its website to list NTNU as a university that does not require registration stamps on Student ID cards.
- Educational and cultural institutions, as well as movie theaters, have confirmed that student discounts are granted upon presentation of a valid Student ID card, without checking for a registration stamp.
- University-contracted merchants have been informed of the no-registration-stamp policy through the Office of General Affairs, and student discounts remain available.
