  • What are the General Chinese courses?

    The General Chinese courses consist of General Chinese (I) and General Chinese (II) each of the courses are 2 credits.

  • Do international students must take the Chinese lesson?

    Except from the regulation of Chinese Department and Chinese  Language and Culture for  International Students  Department,  students need to take 4 credits of   Elementary Chinese  course, Intermediate Chinese or Advanced Chinese to transfer 4 credits for Chinese course.

  • How to register the General Chinese and Chinese for International Students course?

    Please see the table below.

    The register way 1. Students do not need to register the class by themselves.
    2.Chinese:  Students will group together according to the Chinese scores on the university entrance examination.
     Chinese for international: Students will group together according to the TOCFL, HSK or the score of International Chinese placement test .
    Please fill out and submit the application form for  Chinese / Chinese for International Students  course registration, NTNU .
    Procedures of course registration none Choose the class→ fill out the form→ get teacher’s signature→ submit the form to common core education center→ check the allocation result by yourself

  • What is the NTNU Chinese for International Students placement test?

    This test is one of the reference indicator to assess students’ Chinese ability. The test format will be computer-based and the test will be hold before the school semester begin. Students need to register the test by themselves.
