Required English courses
The General English courses (I), (II), and (III) carry a total of 6 credits and are required courses for non-English major students. The courses focus on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through English-medium instruction and small, leveled classes focused on academic English.
Starting from the 2026 academic year, English (III) will be fully transformed into ESAP (English for Specific Academic Purposes) courses, strengthening students' English communication, presentation, and writing skills in academic research and professional domain environments to seamlessly connect with EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses.

1. Students must complete and pass English (I) and English (II) in sequence before taking English (III).
2. If the final grade for English (I) is below passing but reaches Grade D or above, students may apply to take English (II) in the following semester and retake English (I) in a subsequent semester.
3. English (III) courses are selected independently by students based on their affiliated college. Students with cross-college status (e.g., double major, minor, or interdisciplinary Bachelor's Program) may select one course corresponding to either college. (Cross-college selection is open during the add/drop period.)
